Our Leigh Fish Kids Fishing Competition ran from 1 to 30th of April and was a lot of fun for our kiddos.

The Spirit of Fishing Trophy was awarded to Mack Curtis

Mack weighed in 14 fish during the month and fished 9 days on land and boat.  He shared most of the fish with his friends & neighbours and was always keen to go out - no matter the weather!

He insisted on always holding the rod “just in case” he got the big bite! And when it was home time, on one particular day, Mack was determined they needed to stay out so that his buddy could catch a fish (ergo they arrived home in the dark) but his mate caught his fish! What a trooper!

That's exactly what the spirit of fishing is all about Mack, well done buddy!

We had an amazing group of 82 kids fishing this competition who caught 212 fish collectively.
